Terms of use
Last updated:
1. Purpose
These terms of use set out the rules for accessing and using teyelo.com and the Teyelo console, school management software published by Teyelo. Using the website or the console means accepting these terms.
Commercial terms (subscription, pricing, service level) are set out in the contract or quote signed between Teyelo and each school. In case of conflict, that contract prevails over these terms.
2. Access to the service
The website is freely accessible. The console is reserved for client schools and their users: there is no open sign-up. A school that wishes to use Teyelo submits an onboarding request; once approved, Teyelo opens its workspace and the school then creates its staff accounts.
Access requires an Internet connection, at the user’s own cost.
3. Accounts and security
Each account is personal. Users keep their credentials confidential, choose a strong password and promptly report any suspicious use to their school or to support@teyelo.com. The school assigns roles and permissions to its users and disables the accounts of people who leave.
Any action performed from an account is deemed to have been performed by its holder. Sensitive actions (grades, approvals, issued documents, payments) are logged.
4. Acceptable use
Users agree to:
- enter accurate and up-to-date information;
- use the service only to run their school;
- not attempt to access the data of another school or another user;
- not disrupt the service (automated submissions, unauthorised penetration testing, bypassing limits);
- keep the data of students, families and staff confidential.
Teyelo may suspend an account in case of breach, after informing the school except in an emergency.
5. School data
The school remains the owner of the data it records in the console and is responsible for its processing. Teyelo hosts and protects it and only uses it to provide the service. It can be exported at any time and is returned or deleted at the end of the contract, at the school’s request. Details are given in the privacy policy.
6. Certified documents
Report cards, certificates, attestations and receipts issued by the console carry a verification code and QR code. Their content is the sole responsibility of the issuing school. Teyelo guarantees that public verification flags any altered, revoked or unknown document.
7. Availability
Teyelo makes every effort to keep the service available at all times and backs up data regularly. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, preferably outside school hours, or due to incidents beyond its control (network, provider, force majeure).
8. Liability
Teyelo has an obligation of means. It is not liable for data entry errors, for the use users make of information, or for indirect damage. Calculated results (averages, rankings, statistics) depend on the rules and coefficients configured by the school, which checks them before approving them.
9. Intellectual property
The software, brand and content of Teyelo remain its property. The school and its users have a personal, non-transferable right of use for the duration of their contract. Copying, modifying or reselling the software is prohibited.
10. Changes to these terms
Teyelo may update these terms. Users are informed of any significant change; the date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Congo. In case of dispute, the parties first seek an amicable solution; failing that, the competent courts of Brazzaville have sole jurisdiction, unless mandatory provisions provide otherwise.
12. Contact
